Palíndromo Mészaros was born in 1986 in Madrid. He holds a Master Degree in documentary photography from EFTI, nowadays he studies architecture in the ETSAM, where he has collaborated producing and curating exhibitions for the culture department of the university.
In the last years he has been awarded on various festivals and contests: Juror's Choice award in the CENTER Project Competition 2012, Santa Fe, New Mexico; Future Award 2011. Documentary Master EFTI; Accesit on the XIX Awards of the Spanish professional photography Asociation. He has been selected for “Descubrimientos Photoespaña” and “Review Santa Fe” portfolio reviews. He has recently been selected as finalist of the 19 FotoPres La Caixa documentary grant. His photographs have been published on international publications such as Newsweek, La Repubblica, Mother Jones, American Photo or New Scientist. His project “The Line” has been exhibited in “0.00156 acres” gallery, in Brookyln, NY and in the Kursala Exhibition Space of the University of Cádiz.
Palíndromo Mészaros’ work is generally focused on documentary photography and he is specialised on contemporary Eastern Europe. He has developed most of his job in Hungary. His architecture background is a key point of his approach to photography, oriented to a representation of the social and anthropological issues and dilemmas of European societies through their physical remains. He believes that aesthetics and documentary rigor should be together and respected in the same way.
